As an educator, it’s too bad that the teacher was the star of this video instead of the students. Kids could have voted for the leader of the dance, or a name picked out of a hat or a myriad of other ways. Just my humble opinion.

It’s a shame that you weren’t able to enjoy the experience but rather point out something that will likely make the students feel badly. Try to give them a few more years to become as cynical and jaded as you clearly are. So sad for you.

You don’t get it. If they vote usually popularity wins. What are the odds a heavier girl or guy would have taken the lead? Don’t know great it’s nil,I know cause I was that heavyset kid and got picked for nothing. Every kid here is engaged and happy. This teacher brought everyone together. He had every student involved. With all the bullying and hatred among students it’s evident there is none of that with these kids. As an educator you should really consider a new profession if you can’t truly appreciate what this teacher did. Shame on you!!!
