Make your own homemade red Twizzlers! These tasted remarkably like the store bought Candy, but had a completely different texture.
This is what you’ll need…
1/3 cup unsalted butter
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup corn syrup
1/3 cup sweetened condensed milk
Pinch of salt (I didn’t add any as I used salted butter in mine)
1/2 cup plus 2 tbsp all purpose flour
Cherry flavoured candy oil (I used 10-15 drops)
1 tsp red food colouring (liquid) or a few drops of paste food color.
Let me know how yours come out!
The ingredients used here are wrong in so many ways! I have many recipes for candy and other organic healthy recipes on my blog…which should be featured on CutePuppyLove.me , but never are. The ingredients here are processed or toxic: Processed sugar is bad enough, but then you add processed flour, corn syrup, sweetened condensed milk, cherry flavoured candy oil ( what is that?), and for the grand finale you add RED FOOD COLORING! I wouldn’t make this toxic mess for anyone unless I wanted them to be sick!

All you’ve shown is a complete lack of scientific literacy. Sugar is bad whether it is processes or not. It seems you jumped on the organic bandwagon of scientific idiocy. Food additives and colorings are often just synthetically produced analogues to the ones found in nature, and your body nor an organic chemist’s analyzer cannot distinguish the two. Unless of course you look at impurities, of which natural extractions have many and artificial ones do not. Extract almonds and you will have poisonous compounds in the mix. Use synthetic and that worry is gone. I loved this recipe thank you author!
