I believe she was genuinely shocked! At the moment not remembering Turkeys are birds and birds lay eggs! It’s refreshing to see some young adults are kept YOUNG! And not pushed into adulthood too soon. On that note, it was a little mean,but something I would do and hilarious as hell!

I think it is not such a funny video as many think, first because it was a mean joke for her, the girl seems to have real feelings and second because it takes out a shocking reality, many people seem not to learn at school a basic thing as that turkeys, birds come from eggs…

This isn’t a shocking reality. She probably isn’t really that stupid, as said before, she most likely saw that little bird in there and her brain said 2+2= Fish. It doesn’t really make sense, but the human mind doesn’t like confusion, it demands answers and will often make an answer before taking time to figure it out. We all do this all the time, we see something from far away and think it’s something else until we get close enough to it. We hear a sound in the house and either think it’s haunted or someone is breaking in, never mind the fact that it’s a windy outside. After the conclusion she made, her emotions kicked in and momentarily disabled her reasoning skills, once she calmed down she probably realized what just happened and laughed at herself for a while before moving on with her life.
Then there is the very likely case where she was acting and this whole comment was a waste of time xD

Oh my gosh, all of you rude people are so dull. She was probably shocked seeing that, and didn’t even consider that they come from eggs at that moment…I’m guessing everyone else shouting “Oh my god, the turkey is pregnant,” probably didn’t help her realize that it wasn’t possible either. Also, I don’t think this was staged, she was actually crying but everyone else laughing hysterically probably confused and embarrased her, especially because they were videotaping. Lighten up and learn to laugh!

When did “smart” become equivalent to NOT being empathetic? Oh yeah this type of topic is as old as the trees and ancient times. And we say we have become more civilized? on the matter of what? not simply seeing this as humor and instead thinking that the girl who is shocked is an idiot? oh yeah I forgot that some cultures go by putting others down in order to feel good about themselves.
