I’ve tried this trick before, so I know it works. My grandpa used to teach us awesome tricks like this one, and I remember once my sister wanted to try my mom’s wedding band and she was a big girl, problem is, then the thing was stuck. Thank goodness for grandpa and his super cool tricks! 🙂
“Toddlers who overhear adults disagreeing can use that emotional information to guide their own behavior, according to research study from the Institute of Learning & Brain Sciences.
This re-enactment of the experiment begins with a warm-up trial as an experimenter shows a toy to a 15-month-old boy and then he gets a chance to play with them. Then a second adult, the “Emoter,” enters the room. The experimenter shows her how to play with a toy, a strand of beads that make a rattling sound when dropped into a plastic cup. The Emoter calls these actions “aggravating” and “annoying.” When the child has a chance to play with the beads and cup while the Emoter watches with a neutral facial expression, he doesn’t play with the toy. This demonstrates that he’s using the emotional information to regulate his own behavior.
The experiment was published in the October/November 2014 issue of the journal Cognitive Development with the title, “Infant, control thyself: Infants’ integration of multiple social cues to regulate their imitative behavior.” Credit: Institute for Learning & Brain Sciences, University of Washington.”
Artist Garip Ay performs the art of Turkish Ebru. This technique involves first using oil based inks in water and then transferring the final image onto the paper. And I don’t know you guys but I think this is truly fascinating 🙂 What do you guys think?
Linsey Pollak is an Australian musician, instrument maker, composer, musical director and community music facilitator. He decided to do something crazy. He turned a carrot into a clarinet using an electric drill a carrot and a saxophone mouthpiece, and plays it all in a matter of 5 minutes. Isn’t that amazing?
Gujo town in Gifu prefecture of Japan is the place where technology of making these ultra-realistic food samples used to show menu in Japanese restaurants began. These samples are made out of plastic, wax and other materials, and then painted. It is also possible to try making some simple samples by yourself.
Really impressive! What do you think? Would you like to start seeing wax displays at more restaurants?
Wouldn’t you love to own one of these? It looks like a regular bus, but the CAMI Terra Wind Amphibious Motorcoach is a one-of-a-kind bus. Water can’t stop it. I would love to own one of these, YOU?
At least that’s what this cutie thinks! His dad claims that the baby boy so far had only tried milk. But in this occasion they were giving him water and look at him! He loves it!!!
Casey Sanders of Atlanta, Georgia, was going hunting when he stumbled with a naked man in his property.
The man told him that he was at a music festival called TomorrowWorld when a bunch of guys jumped him…
The good news is the hunter did help him… In his own words “He recalled his number and I got in touch with somebody to come get him after I led him to the road. By far the craziest hunting story I will ever have!”
I wasn’t aware of many of these, but I will have to disagree with the leftover pasta… I believe olive oil should never be reheated… What do you think of these? Useful?
