Anyone who saw Penelope a little over two months ago when the Heigl Foundation rescued her from a Los Angeles shelter, probably not only struggled to tell what breed of dog she was, but surely feared for her survival.
Her transformation since that day has been amazing, so much so that at JDHF HQ Penelope is known simply as the “miracle dog.”

Wow, what a difference from day one. I’m happy someone had the wherewithal to take her to you! Hopefully she got adopted, because she looks like a really nice dog, and such a sweet face.
