I have over 100 penguins in my collection I would love to sell. I love them dearly but downsizing to go to Senior living home. Stuffed, brass, glass and everything imaginable. Just want them to go to someone who loves them like I do.

My son had a stuffed penguin and named him “Tux”. He named all his stuffed animals and he had a lot of them.

Interesting. Tux is the name of the Linux penguin. My ex, an avid Linux fan, named our tuxedo cat Tux. I still have her. She will be ten years old next month.

After having seen this, I sent this e-mail to johnlewis.com … About your Monty commercial: Is no one else disturbed (or, as I am, horrified) that this commercial implies that Penguins can or should be domesticated and commodified (the mention of “affording” a live Penguin)? It gives the viewers (who, in America, just elected a fully Republican congress) far too much credit in assuming that the switch at the last minute to a stuffed toy is going to make people realize it was a fantasy all along. I hope no Penguins were harmed in the making of this commercial or will come to harm (or be bought and sold) as a result of it.

The beginning shot of the tv showing penguins was of the Pingu show. My daughter LOVED that show and even though she is 16 now, she can’t help but watch it every once in a while. Love the ad.
