That was a great demonstration if there were 2 adults in the car along with the infant. I wish they would have shown what to do if there was 1 adult an 1 baby. By the time the adult rolled down the window turned around to get the baby out an then both out the window the car would no doubt be filled with water.

This is a truly nobel and considerate effort to inform people of this danger, but I am not sure how realistic this is when we’re talking about people that are going to be unprepared, not in as good of shape as the men in this video and will be holding an actual baby which will in all likelihood, will be crying, frightened and panicked! Please don’t misunderstand, I totally appreciate the lesson and the education. Thing is, the attempt to prepare folks against this kind of danger has to be a realistic in order to show people that anyone can survive this. All this video tells me is that I better start working out just ib=n case I drive into a river by accident!

The biggest lesson I get here is to be so careful I never drive into a lake or try to cross a flooded area. Trying to get out is just too tricky, with seat belts to maneuver and water pressure against the doors. Would the window even lower at all when the car has stalled? We don’t have handles any more.

We had the horror of a woman’s van sliding into a golf course pond from an icy road. She and her child both died as she could not get out of her van quickly enough. I appreciate the #1 as most people don’t realize the window will be too difficult to open once the car sinks. This poor woman was trapped in the back of the van desperately trying to open the door : (

That was great however, a baby would not be as light ass a doll and you wouldn’t be able to just pick it up with one hand and throw it out of the window. There has to be a better way. And there should also be a video with one parent (woman) and a baby in back!!!!!

How about an auto car when engine shut down. You will need time to break the window down. That will take sometime and mostly the problem!
