Wow, that sonagram technician needs to go back to school. She is frighteningly ignorant and incorrect in saying that the babies probably aren’t identical because they are in two separate sacs. ID twins absolutely can be in their own sac! I know because I’m a mom of ID twin girls who had separate sacs, but shared one placenta. Sometimes ID twins have their own placenta, but if there’s only ONE placenta, then they are always identical. Faternal twins always have separate placentas though. Geesh.

Yep, even identicals can have their own sacs and own placentas. It all depends on when the egg split when traveling in the fallopian tube. The only way to know is DNA testing.

My son was 6 when he saw the sonogram.He argued with the Dr. Insisting there was only one heartbeat. Not 2!!!!!!

The older one won’t think much of them of them until he is older like in his twenties…least that’s what my experience has been.
