Target: I was pregnant with twins and registered at target. I received two car booster seats at a baby shower. I realized they wouldn’t work for what I needed so I tried to exchange them for some they had on display….”I’m sorry we don’t have those in stock right now, should be on the truck Wednesday but keep old car seats till you can exchange.” Show back up Wednesday …”they weren’t on the truck so they will be on the truck next Wednesday” happened 4 times before I called corporate and they told me the car seats I wanted had been discontinued weeks earlier but they hadn’t gotten the new upgraded ones to take their place. I’m livid so I just try to return the baby shower car seats…can’t do them both, big ticket items. I had to return one car seat get a gift card, leave the store, then walk right back in to return the second car seat for a second gift card. The “new” car seats on display (same as the old ones I wanted) were now $80 more expensive EACH!!! Needless to say, I spent my gift cards at target but they have never gotten another dime from me. They lied, they misled, then they did the old bait and switch. Jerks!!!

I called a hardware store looking for an electric heater and was informed that they didn’t have anymore left, after putting me on hold. Well,I really needed the heater so I preceded to the store. When I arrived I walked right to the isle where the heater was. Yes, it was there. I called for the manager and informed the manager that I had called and was informed that they were out of heaters in questions. She knew of the call because she was the one who had am employee to check. She was sorry for what had happened and gave me a discount. Incidentally, I told her she should send the guy home if he didn’t feel like working because he was bad for business.

My daughter went thru Kentucky Fried chicken drive thru and I specifically said honey and butter for the biscuit, when we got home there was none, so I called the number on the receipt and ask for the manager, I ask the manager what part did the girl in drive up understand and the manager told me to”go buy my own” and hung up! So immediately I went on line to the corporate office and gave them the complaint and receipt number, they dealt with the manager and gave me a bunch of coupons!

Just recently I was at a Walmart store. I was on vacation and found out that I needed a diving flag in order to snorkel. The Walmart store I visited, didn’t have any in stock in their sporting good department. I asked The older gentleman if he would call the nearest store to see if they had any. He called for me explained himself to the other store clerk in sporting-goods, explain how he was out diving flags and we needed one badly, asked if their store still had any in stock. Apparently the other clerk in the store said they had three or four. He asked them to go ahead and save one for Don and that he was wearing a Vietnam vet cap and to please put it under the counter. When he got off the phone, I asked him what the clerks name was. He said he didn’t get her name but it was the girl that works in the sporting goods department. The store was about 15 miles away. When we get there we see a guy at the desk in sporting-goods. I asked if there was a girl that worked back here he said there was. When he got her, she acted like she didn’t know what I was talking about. Behind the counter was three buoys no dive flag. Realizing she had gotten the wrong thing she walked away. The young kid went to find out if there was any in the back stock. There wasn’t. I expressed to him how I drove 15 miles because I was told they were in stock. He did apologize and said she was the only female back there. She couldn’t even stand up and say she had made made a mistake. How could you mistaken a dive flag for a bouy? And no she wasn’t blonde. No excuse.

Not too long ago we went into Babies R Us to shop for an outfit to bring my new grandson home from the hospital in. It was myself, my son, his very pregnant wife and my 2 year old grandson. My son was carrying (and drinking) and bottle of water. Around 15 minutes after we arrived a manager approached my son and accused him of drinking Vodka! I’m not sure how often they have this problem that they even thought he was doing it but I was floored! It was around 11:00 on a Saturday morning. To top it off; I wrote an e-mail to corporate and they didn’t even reply!

T-Mobile the worse customer service in the world.. I switch service as soon as contract was up, but had a 342. dollar refund coming. I called customer service and they ask me for all my banking info to put return in bank..not wanting to give my information out over the phone to a stranger I said mail me a check. OK that will one to two week. Only take them five minutes to take money out of my account when I pay my bill. Waited and waited and when it finally arrived it is not a check but a T-mobile debit card that can not be used at any ATM. Wanting to use it to pay rent I checked out a bank transfer, but that would cost me a 35 dollar transfer off card. So,I ended up telling them off and not very nicely and am using the card to pay utilities and had to pay rent a week late. I tell everyone do not get T-mobile crappy coverage, the worse customer service, and over priced. Spread the word..

  12. recently at Walmart I was browsing the sporting goods area and decided I was going to purchase some ammo, several other customers were also waiting for an associate to come to the area, while waiting for about 15 minutes with no associate available I called from my cell phone to the Walmart customer service desk, I asked the woman who answered if they would send someone to unlock the case and help me with my purchase, she assured me someone would be there, after waiting for approximately another 10 minutes tow employees wearing ties walked past me and stated that no one had been scheduled to work that area for that day and then went about their business of talking and ignoring the other customers in the area, after being told this I once again called the customer service desk and was told that someone was on the way to help me, after another wait of 10 minutes or so an associate did arrive and told me and that he was not familiar with the ammunition nor which key unlocked the case and could I please return at a later time when they had enough help to cover the sporting goods register, needless to say after waiting for 30 minutes or so and being asked to come back later I left and have not been back!

Years ago my mother bought my little girl a cute little outfit at Wal-Mart for Christmas but got the wrong size. My mother took the tags off the outfit cause it a gift for Christmas. So went out to Wal-Mart to just see if I could just exchange for the right size. I went up to the customer service desk and told her my mom happen to get the wrong size and see if I could just exchange for the right size. She looked at the outfit and looked at me and said “we don’t care the outfit and don’t even carry that brand”. Well I know that was not true cause I seen it there before. I told yes you do and she said very LOUD for everyone could hear her. I tried to explain I know that my mother bought the outfit here cause we live in a very small town and we only have 2 discount stores, Wal-Mart and a K-Mart in our town. But she wouldn’t even listen to me. So I left the customer service desk walked back to the little girls clothing and pick the SAME outfit SAME brand SAME color outfit. Took it back to the customer service desk and said “YOU DON’T CARRY THIS BRAND OR OUTFIT, THEN What in the he’ll is this”. After I slam the outfit on the counter. She just looked at me with her mouth open. Then I walked out not even getting either outfit. After I got home about an hour later I received a call from the Wal-Mart manager and apologized and said the next time I come out he will take of everything. Cause I guess he saw what went on from a distance. If I remember I don’t remember her working there after that.

Having worked in the restaurant industry, I find myself far more patient towards ‘bad’ service than most. I find that there’s less bad service out there than people claim. But when it DOES happen, it’s pretty horrendous.

But no type of bad service can ever top simply dealing with the financial aid office at a college. There seems to be a law which states that financial aid offices will be staffed entirely by people who wouldn’t be able to identify their left ass cheek, let alone a 1099.

  20. While shopping for camping supplies at our local Walmart, I approached a sales associated to inquire as to when a shipment would arrive (to replenish the items I needed); was informed that it would probably be two weeks. Since I shop at Walmart almost weekly, I kept checking (in person) to see if needed items had indeed been restocked; even after three weeks, nothing! I decided to ask the department manager if there was a chance that they would be arriving soon. Walked to the Sporting Goods area (where a cash register is located) and pressed the button to have an associate come over for assistance. Waited for more than 5 minutes (along with another customer) and no one representing the store arrived. It wasn’t near lunchtime or shift change so I called the store (yes, they are in my phone) and asked for someone in Sporting Goods. I’m standing near the cash register listening to the phone ring (on the counter) while listening on my phone…waiting, waiting, waiting…no one! Hanging up, I called again! Yes, the same thing happened again! It’s sad that companies can’t seem to get reliable employees (I know, not all employees are like this) but it seems to be more the norm these days! They want the paycheck, but don’t give two hoots about the work! Oh, and I never did get to speak with anyone from that department!

I was pregnant with my 2nd child and shopping with my 3 year old at Walmart in Round Lake. I was going into have a C-section delivery two days later so keep in mind I was very pregnant. Since this shopping event was gonna be the last one I did for a few weeks I had 3 carts filled with groceries and baby supplies for my huge event. I got to the register and my total was close to $600.00. I had to bag myself and was able to condense as much as I could in the bags, however, it still ended up filling two carts basically overfilled, along with my 3 year old sitting in one of them in the seat designed for your child to sit. Not once when my transaction was complete was I asked if I would like help out to my car, even though there were employees all around doing nothing, even two guys 5 feet away who saw me struggling with moving the carts together with my belly about to pop. Instead they were “LAUGHING” at me and we’re making a bet loud enough for me and all to hear on if I was gonna be able to push both carts on my own. I then approached these men and said I did not appreciate their disrespectful bet and asked if one of them could please help me out to my car. They laughed at me and actually told me they were busy, weren’t aloud to. And that I should do it myself anyway since they see I will need to learn how to move around and juggle two children soon anyway, and hopefully lose my baby weight faster!!! I was appalled by this, not even the cashier who just rang me did anything. I asked for the manager and was told they were at lunch, I then asked for a supervisor, waited around for 10 minutes to have no one come. I was an emotional rock at this point and pushed both carts out on my own by standing in front of the first cart my child was in, pulling the other one behind me as bags started falling off the cart on the street. By the time I got to my car I was hysterical, putting all the bags in my car, An employee who was collecting carts oitside saw me and came up to me and dident ask if i needed help loading, he actually asked how mich longer I was going to be because he needed my cart. My three year old looked at him and said, “why don’t any of you help my mommy? She’s crying, hurts really bad and is gonna give birth to my sister in a few days, may you please help her”? The man said, I’am kid, I will be taking her carts when she’s done taking her time with them loading your car”. I then pulled my daugjter out of the cart, still crying and in such a rage to the point NO WORD could come out of my mouth, which never happened to me before. After putting my kid in her car seat, I got in the car and immediately called 4.1.1 to get the number for the district office. I was then sent to a voice mail where I vented everything that happened and asked for a call back. I had to go in late that night because I started going into labor and never, till this very day, and also almost 13 Years later, no call, letter, or apology. I have never stepped foot in that Walmart EVER AGAIN. I remember it Everytime I see one. The sad thing is, so does my soon to be 16 year old daughter who was only 3. She’s the one who always reminds me and tells her sister because she still to this very day cannot believe how bad her mom was treated the day before giving birth to her baby sister.

    Experience at Wal-Mart Chicagoland area

Yea, you know what? You don’t even need to give me a free computer…………I’ll just write this for free while it’s fresh in my mind from just a couple days ago. Walked into Walmart in Chicagoland area (West burbs) and I’ve got to have a pet taxi for a rescue cat and I need it in a hurry. It’s 9 p.m., figured Walmart is usually cheapest in price, so I’ll go here, instead of Petsmart. I should have gone to Petsmart. Walk in the door with my cane and as usual THE REGISTERS ARE NOT OPEN ON THAT SIDE……Walmart expects you to walk all the way down to the other entrance (oh yes) when that particular door doesn’t shut until 10 p.m. (an hour from now)….So, I walk to the pet aisle and pic out a pet taxi, wanted the larger one for 26.99 (? something like that?) but got the smaller one of the same kind, for what I thought was 16.99. IT WAS IN THE 16.99 SPOT. So then, when I pulled out the last one THAT WAS A GOOD 2 FEET ABOVE MY SHOULDERS ON THE TOP SHELF…a black over the shoulder carry all holder (you know those types, they look like mailboxes!) fell in it’s place.
The extremely small one (there were 3) on the end was pink and another brand…and actually smaller, but more expensive than the one I picked.
Ok, so I head to the register thinking, wow have these stupid things gone up in price, dang. I used to get them for 15.00 and a decent size, and when I rescue a cat, I generally donate them to the place I take them to. Ok, so get to the registers, and they are closed, but someone is doing “inventory” on one of them that should be open. I tell her “why is it every single time I come in here, there are no registers open on this end, yet this door is?”……she states “registers 27 and 28 are open” all the way down at the end of the store near the opposite entrance and that “this door closes at 10″…..
Oh hell no, you did not just say that to me. I am not a pushover.
I told her that I am not, I repeat not walking down to that end of the store to check out and asked her what time it was. “IT’S 9 P.M.” she replies. I said “WELL THEN YOU HAVE A WHOLE HOUR AND YOU’RE CLOSING OFF THIS END OF THE STORE AND MAKING PEOPLE WITH CANES WALK DOWN TO THE OTHER END OF THE STORE TO PURCHASE ONE DANG ITEM?” and a few other choice things and so she says “one minute, I’ll be open in a minute”…….I waited.
She rings up the pet taxi (after her and another person got done smirking and laughing at me to themselves, but not so they thought I could see) at 26.99. Erm NO.
I said this is not 26.99, it’s 16.99 and then I went off on what is my worst pet peeve. THINGS BEING IN THE WRONG PLACES ON THE SHELF SO THAT YOU CAN’T TELL WHAT PRICES THEY ARE.
This happens continually. Most people they know will just take the more expensive item because they are in a hurry and don’t want to consume time, nor argue.

I am not one of those people.

I sat there and argued with her about it because she stated “I cannot confirm that this took place, and that you found the item in a different place”………..
NO REALLY, I SUSPECT YOU’D HAVE TO TAKE MY WORD FOR IT BECAUSE YOU’D HAVE TO BE A CLONE AND BE IN 247 DIFFERENT SPOTS IN THE STORE TO DO THAT, AND IT WOULD HAVE TO BE YOUR JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh my God, what an excuse.
I said Lady get me the manager.

She calls the manager and starts walking back there. I walked with her, because I was sure when the manager and me walked back there that everything would be neat and in it’s place. She literally almost ran and I couldn’t keep up with her, so I had to tell her literally to slow down that I wanted to walk back there to make sure nothing changed before the manager got there.

The manager came and before he did she reaches way up there, because I said if this one is 26.99 WHAT IS THE PRICE OF THAT ONE??????? She reaches up there and takes her little box meter reader thingamajig and states 36.99………….I’m like let me get this straight.
“AS A CUSTOMER OFF THE STREET, YOU EXPECT ME, BEFORE I GET TO YOUR REGISTER TO HAVE A SCANNER, LIKE YOU DO, AND REACH ALL THE WAY UP ON THE TOP SHELF AND TURN THE PET TAXI, TILL I SEE THE BAR CODE AND SCAN IT TO FIGURE OUT IF IT’S IN THE RIGHT PLACE?”

When I said that to the manager, he said just give her the lower price. If it were not 9 p.m. and Petsmart were not closed, I would have gone there, gladly, just to avoid the turmoil.

Then some lovely (not going to describe what she looked like, because it would be controversial)
customer had to not mind her own business and chime in, and tell me that if it were her (she probably works in customer service) she wouldn’t even talk to me.
    Okkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk.
    Who asked you to?
I told her to mind her own business and she just got more pit bullish.
So it was shouting match and of course, this fed the manager and employee’s ego and never mind if what I am saying is the truth and that this is quite an inconvenience for someone that doesn’t go to Walmart to get their daily exercise…………………….

I ended up having someone else buy it for me and telling them they had lost a customer.

Well, I will at least have someone else buy me stuff from now on.

What a pain in the arse and how customer friendly is that? IS IT TOO MUCH OF A HASSLE TO PUT A BLOODY PRICE TAG ON THINGS THESE DAYS AND NOT EXPECT YOUR CUSTOMERS TO HAVE A SCANNER TO READ OUT THE TAG OR WALK TO THE NEAREST SCANNER IN THE STORE IF THEY HAVE A CANE??????????????????????????????????
IS IT TOO MUCH OF A HASSLE TO HAVE ONE BLOODY REGISTER IN SELF SERVE (all I wanted) OPEN BY THE ENTRANCE DOOR? SINCE THERE ARE 2 SIDES TO THE STORE?

Evidently at Walmart it is………..and the customer is always wrong and if you don’t accept that you are always wrong and just pay the higher price and walk all the way down to register 27 and 28 you can rest assured you will be pummeled and verbally beat up by other customers who are customer service reps and have the same attitude…………the manager, and the employee at the register.
Oh yes, the manager stated that I told him the registers WERE open when I talked to him. No I didn’t. All I had to do was take it up to the self-check out and scan it and see it cost that much and I would have gladly PUT IT BACK, LEFT THE STORE AND THE WHOLE BLOODY THING WOULD BE OVER, without any employee-customer interaction.

    Sigh. 😦
