Although I have seen and probably posted this before, it’s worth a second look and will take one minute out of your day to watch. It is sad and beautiful all at once. Incredibly powerful and after what our seven month old puppy did to alert us that our daughter had collapsed it has really touched me deeply…

I had Blue Heeler puppies on their first day of running who all together “accidentally” got in the way, pushing my hand away whenever I tried to pick up a water snake to return it to the water. Once they saw I could handle the snake safely, they were off playing somewhere else.

My wife suffers from PTSD and seizures since a major head injury from a car accident she should not have survived. I had a Golden Retriever named Pandora who could tell when she was having night terrors, or about to have a waking seizure and she would always be close at hand, to protect, comfort and love. She passed about 5 years ago but we now have a Belgian Shepherd named Bennie who has taken up the cause. He reacts differently, but with the same result. Dogs are amazing animals, underestimated and mistreated, and all humans could learn a thing or two from them if they bothered to pay attention.

So fantastic! I have a similar but much less serious story I’ve mentioned below. How wonderfully reassuring for her and you to know that your dog is on watch! Dogs are a real blessing to us all :;

My 13 year old daughter collapsed in the bathroom early one morning and our five month old puppy (border collie/blue heeler Mum and Maremma dad) threw herself at the door to wake us up to go and help. No training – just amazing instinct and love so I really wonder what she could do if trained. Dogs actually are ‘mankind’s’ best friend 🙂

I have Seizure disorder And the American bulldog/boxer that I rescued at 8 mths old surprised me and my family. Whenever I have a petit map or Grand mal seizure he knows before Han and won’t leave me alone, he insists on making eye contact and licks my hand repeatedly. It is amazing what dogs can sense.

I have a standard poodle who has idiopathic seizures and will go long periods of time without having one then will have one. I was diagnosed Sept 2014 with seizure disorder/epilepsy after an EEG. Initially my seizures were convulsive but began having absence ones and he would lick me and bark until I came to. The other thing he will do is if he’s across the room and I’m staring at my phone he will bark at me until I make eye contact. At times I wonder if he gets an aura.
