This 30-foot deep, 15-foot wide and more than a half-mile long crack showed up in Northern Mexico last week.
Scientists are trying to determine what could have caused it and suggest that they doubt it could have been the result of a 5.0 earthquake earlier this month… since both sides of the crack at the same level… neither seems raised.
They also suggest it could have been an underground stream that has dried and cause the ground to cave in.
And they think recent heavy rain could have had some role in this.
Anyway, this video was shot with a drone and it shows the extent of the damage… Check it out!

Then explain how the fencepost is still connected to the fence that spans the crack. If it was a crack from a fault OPENING wouldn’t it break the fence? If it was a fault upheval, wouldn’t the fence be crooked instead of straight?
