Well That’s No deferent to what Truck Drivers, or some Car Drivers who understand this ‘code’ do in the UK, It’s just that most British Car Drivers don’t understand that.

In Greece we are very aggressive drivers but also we say ”thanks” all the time.
Also we warn unsuspecting people for traffic police ahead with the lights.

The text captions are crazily inaccurate. Looks like the language recognition software does not translate an Aussie accent well.

Pretty cool. Never seen it in the US. We usually wave, though seems that younger folks and most city drivers are not as polite as rural drivers. Guess I wasn’t paying Attn when I lived in the Far East, though that was many, many years ago.

We here in Texas have done that forever! You can tell a driver is a native Texan if they do this. On a two-lane road, we also move onto the shoulder
when the person behind us is in more of a hurry than we are.

Malaysia has very aggressive drivers too but appreciative drivers would wave their hands inside the car or open their windows n wave a thanks ! Singapore as well as malaysia have rude drivers whom ignore you and even try n block you from cutting in. Generally big cities driver are stressed out and competitive/combative!
