The person that shot this video wrote… “I was blocked by two trucks on south bound I-95 at exit 9 in NJ (New Brunswick exit). I only wanted to take a picture while i was awaiting for them to clear up… And then I heard a noise from behind…I was barely missed… Once I turned off camera, I called in 911 and reported the accident. After that I came to the truck and the rest of the cars to verify they were alright. After arrival of NJ State Trooper and his dismissal confirming that he does not require my presence, I left the scene.”
If I was him, would would have literally pooped my pants… Just being honest here…

Trucker here.. There’s nothing I’d like to say more to the guy filming than, “Get your ass off the road!” He could’ve counter corrected his skid toward you. I saw him looking. He chose not to kill you. You aren’t responsible for his skid, but you were loitering in his path. “Rubbernecker” is your handle today. Maybe you should thank the Estes driver rather than an angel. I I’m simply stating the facts that you put yourself in a dangerous position. I’m sure you will again and best of luck then as well.

Dude…Did you look at the start of the video…Where is he to go? Guard Rails on both sides… Dumb Ass Truckers going to fast for road conditions got the road blocked ahead….then this genius flies up the rear!

My husband and I have driven truck for 27 yrs now and its people who park their cars to watch an accident that causes more accidents,steer clear of parking when an accident is close by. your putting yourself and others in danger.Most times the tractor trailer driver gets the blame for trying to avoid a 4 wheeler… I have never had an accident invoking another vehicle ,but my close ones where almost always caused by rubberneckers. Don’t assume your doing anyone a favor by stopping to watch an accident,your life is worth something

Seems this driver stopped way to far back on the road, should have gotten to inside shoulder he created this disaster…in my opinion…and then videotaped it!

My husband and my bf are both truckers, I hear all the stories. As someone who was the victim of a trucker who choose to get behind the wheel and the wrong thing I know 1st hand how dangerous the roads are. They aren’t made safer by those of you who seem to feel truckers have exclusive rights to our highways. Yes, the Este’s driver did an awesome job avoiding killing those in the vehicle with the camera. They were not however hanging out in a truck lane, in his path or rubber necking. They were stuck in traffic behind two more big rigs, perhaps you missed that. They pulled over to make sure everyone was ok because it’s not only the law in a number of places, it’s just the right thing to do. Maybe if you drivers were paid by the hr instead of the mile some of you would slow down, check your mirrors, and drive like a reasonable and prudent person instead of crazed lunatics who act as if they own the whole dang road.

Maybe you shouldn’t complain to the drivers about them getting paid by the mile. They don’t like it anymore than we do. These were clearly bad driving situations, not an accident caused by someone “driving like a lunatic” or “not checking his mirrors”. Not every truck driver is like that. Just like not every person driving a car is going to be a bad driver, but there are always a select few who will be. People are people. It’s rather hard to drive a large truck with cars cutting you off or riding your ass, which happens to truckers all the time, due to people with a mindset like yours, “you don’t own this road”. It’s a shame ..

wow some of the comments here make me question if any one was paying attention. first 2 or three seconds of the video show two trucks BLOCKING his path.was he dumb to set there and film the truck. yes…not every one has a 10 second reaction time. where they can move their ass out of the way or brace for the crash. i will say this. i’m impressed by the truck driver tho.
