2,014 Mousetraps and 2,015 Ping-Pong Balls Create Ultimate Chain Reaction

Ahead of the 2014 New Year’s Eve celebrations, Pepsi Max helped its fans get in the party

mood with a vibrant video that brings to life the sentiment of the social season. Instead

of the traditional fireworks, Pepsi Max created its own explosion of color using 2,014

mousetraps and 2,015 Ping-Pong balls to set off a spectacular and mesmerizing chain

reaction. Enjoy!

If every mousetrap has 1 ball on it, where was the extra ball? It could have been used to set off the first trap, but was not shown doing so.

It’s been awhile since I’ve seen this. High school science class, demonstrating what happens in a nuclear chain reaction. Still kind of cool, these many years later. One thing missing: They didn’t have a cat. Reason: As soon as the chain reaction starts, the cat would head for the state line at top speed.

Special note about that “use the money to help the poor” bit: Nobody’s stopping you from donating time and money to help the poor. Have at it, there’s plenty of poor to be helped. The amount of money spent on this display wouldn’t have helped for more than an hour, tops. Every time you scream “somebody should do something”, take a look in the mirror and see somebody who can do something. Just sayin’.

Spectacular Show! Must have taken quite a while to set it up; however, the unique show compensates the time , expense, and effort. I enjoyed it. Congratulations!
