Melting Cans With The Mini Metal Foundry

Daily fight at my house. What to do with the soda cans (beers too 😉  Well, this might be the solution, although you have to be very careful. This video will show you how to recycle scrap metal in the backyard, with a homemade, Mini Metal Foundry. Take a look and tell us what you think….Are you going to try it out?

    Aluminum melts at relatively low temperatures, it’s one thing that makes joining aluminum parts by soldering or welding so tricky. An aluminum soda-can has almost no resistance to melting, so any decent source of heat should do it. The problem is containing the molten metal.

    Alzheimer’s has been scientifically linked to aluminum. Wouldn’t the fumes be toxic as well?
