Carrie Underwood Performs “I Will Always Love You” with her Idol Dolly Parton

This happened during the “The Carrie Underwood: All Star Holiday Special” in 2009.

Some people claim it was better than Whitney’s version (even though the song is Dolly Parton’s). What do you think?

  2. Hearing more of Carrie singing more traditional country is really great. As with the Awards with Brad Paisley…I WASVIN AWE…TO HEAR HER ACTUALLY SING COUNTRY MUSIC, RATHER THAN THE POP/COUNTRY MUSIC…
WOULD BE GREAT FOR HER TO COME OUT WITH A REAL COUNTRY MUSIC ALBUM!! TRADITIONAL COUNTRY NEEDS A CONE BACK…CARRIE COULD DO THAT. SHE SOUNDS GREAT SINGING. COUNTRY MUSIC…

My favorites: Dolly, the original singer/writer, and Linda Ronstadt, with the best cover–in my opinion. Along with Dolly, Linda is a classic! Here’s her version from the album, “Prisoner in Disguise.”
