Father Sings ‘Blackbird’ To His Dying Newborn Baby Son Just Days After His Wife Died In Childbirth

Sorry, but this video is so heart breaking. This is Chris Picco, and you can see him singing Blackbird to his son, Lennon James Picco, who was delivered by emergency C-section at 24 weeks when Chris’ wife Ashley unexpectedly and tragically passed away in her sleep.

During the pregnancy, Ashley would often feel Lennon moving to music so Chris asked if he could bring his guitar into the NICU and play for Lennon, which he did for several hours during the last days of Lennon’s precious life. One day after filming this, Lennon went to sleep in his daddy’s arms.

    I complained about not having shoes, untill I saw a man with out feet…. How touching this tribute is. The weight this man carries and will have to carry. I pray earnestly, that after his period of mourning, he will HEAL to new God sent Blessings.. Come quickly.. Amen..

    My Deepest Condolences to Chris, and Ashley’s Family!!! That was Beautiful Chris, I have tears flowing down my cheeks!! I too lost my Daugther Jordyn Elizabeth at 2 days old 11 years ago and it is still very hard that she is gone!!
