This is a new game this dad plays with his son Torin. He is 16 1/2 months old now and Torin learned all the words in the Your Baby Can Read program that daddy bought a few months ago. Dad makes new cards to continue his language development everyday. Whatever this dad is doing is working. Look how amazing this kid is!

Not to take away from Torin’s accomplishment, but this really is more a matter of memorization. It’s not “reading” as much as memorizing the way the word looks on a card. Though that in itself is amazing already.

If I put a bunch on words on the ground and told you to pick them up would it be reading or memorization? Of course the kid is not ready to write his disertation but these parents have the right approach.

My daughter and SIL had their 2 kids doing this before they could even walk. They took courses at The Institutes for the Improvement of Human Potential in Philadelphia. Today they are 13 and 10 and are far advanced in school thanks to their outstanding reading skills. In fact, the 13-year-old read the entire Harry Potter series by the time she was 8 or 9.

It’s the Your Baby Can Read program and it works. I just started with my 18 month old and her language has changed significantly. S/O to the creator. Nothing less than an amazing program to get your kids ahead and ready for the top schools.

The little guy has a remarkable memory…and cognitive recognition skills…not so much in actual reading per se’ but I LOVE his abilities…GOOD JOB, DAD!

My grandson at about 2 became very interested in letters he became self motivated went around sounding out words putting letters together taught himself to read and write. Now at 5 he can read anything . Books, directions for games recipes etc. It was extremely interesting to see how he did this he liked at it was fun for him. He loved the letter “W” and when someone came to the door he sounded out their name and then spelled it. It was a game to him. like puzzles he put them together quickly and some were challenging .

well children are smart, smarter than we know. If they can read at this age they can also read later. What made me hesitate to start baby reading to early is the fact that she will be able to read all of the signs we drive by. All the newspapers,and magazines Sexy Girls, triple X videos for bad boys, 30 people murdered in school shooting…….Just a few examples of things i did not want to have to explain to by under 3 year old. So just because they can read doesn’t mean you want them to. Its not all about fast and furious accomplishment in life, its also about each thing in their right time, and fitting in safely to the world. Anyway when you start this kind of early development they are seriously bored by the time they get to school.

Actually, my daughter is in kindergarden and when they don’t “read the words”, they are doing their sight words ,and their sight words are very important, they are not allowed to spell them out they have to know them by sight. Then there, of course, is actual reading they work on as well.
